Why we selected it
An everyday function, resolved with intention.
It gives incoming objects a calm, intentional home while keeping the entrance visually composed.
Context for Japan
Placed within Japanese life.
In a compact genkan, one vertical storage point can prevent mail, keys and small essentials from spreading into the living space.
